This AD-net product is industrial-grade 1 port 10/100/1000M Ethernet to 1000Base-X fiber conversion, mainly used for long-distance 20Km transmission of optical fiber networks. This product provides 1 Gigabit optical port; 1 Gigabit Ethernet electrical port. With complete alarm function, the whole machine is stable and reliable, with low power consumption, high integration and small size.

Interface
RJ-45 interface:
The transmission media adopts CAT5 twisted-pair with typical length of 100 meter. It features the function of automatically identifying the through line and cross wire
Fiber interface:
SC fiber interface is simplex (1 fiber strand) type, and you need thus you will need only 1 fiber to connect media converters together and still have full duplex Ethernet connection. These media converters utilize WDM – Wave Division Multiplexing technology to make full duplex Ethernet connection over 1 fiber only thus saving fiber infrastructure costs. This is why it is important to ensure, that converters are used in pairs exactly as they are packed in set – A side with 1310/1550nm wavelengths must work in pair with 1550/1310 nm B side (double check sticker right on the fiber port).
Important: DO NOT connect A side to A side or B side to B side, in this way, connection will not be established.
Connection
The network device (work station, hub or switch) with RJ-45 interface is connected to RJ-45 jack of optical transceiver through twisted-pair. And the multi/single mode fiber is connected to SC fiber interface of the optical transceiver. Then switch on. The corresponding LED is on for correct connection. (See the table above for the LED indicator lamp)

There is a 4-position DIP switch on the front panel of the device, support LFP function, and the configuration of optical ports 1000BASE-X and 100BASE-FX.
