AN-WF-RS-232/422/485 | WiFi (802.11b) wireless access based serial RS-232/422/485 to IP converter / serial networking device, 110-220 VAC. or DC power options |
Description
Wifi serial device networking (TCP/IP) has become a trend of industrial on-site networking. However, the on-site wiring construction and alternation cost have always been a bottle neck of serial device networking. With the growingly mature WLAN technology and falling cost of related hardware, the advantage of serial device networking has become quite obvious, which makes serial device wireless networking a must.
AN-WF-RS-232/422/485 wireless serial port server offers wireless transceiver and high speed serial port, conforming to IEEE802.11b wireless network communication standard. The maximum standard transmission distance is 300M and further wireless communication can be achieved by additional high gain external antenna, which can not only prevent difficult wiring but also lower construction cost, specially suitable for devices like industrial environment and factory automation system, on-site monitoring system, etc.
The RS232 connection application has been used for a long time. RS232 cable has limitations in distance. WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) has become a worldwide standard protocol for wireless applications. There are many applications for using RS232 connection over WLAN, including POS, data capture, telemetry, PLC controllers, remote control, vending machine, industrial control, and others. The device that supports connection over WLAN is called as Wireless to Serial Server.
To make your management task easier, the AN-WF-RS-232/422/485 provides additional features, such as password authentication, IP filter, WEP support for 64-bit and 128-bit encryption, and SNMP support.
